Art Programs: Aesthetic, Emotional, Intellectual and Social Development

Our art program is shaped by the vision of providing and encouraging our students to participate in the creative, impressive and sensitive processes of art throughout their lifetime. The program is a framework for dance, drama, music and visual arts education programs. Art education is the basis for the aesthetic, emotional, intellectual and social development of a person and presents students unique ways of knowing, doing, living and belonging to the global world. It also important in the development of creativity and imagination. The structure of the program defines the general achievements of art education; examines music and visual arts programs in three parts.

Creating, Realizing and Presenting / Creativity, Practice and Presentation

Students; use artistic processes, skills, language and methods to discover, develop and express their own thoughts. They produce and offer joint and independent products for different purposes.

Understanding and Association of Time, Place and Society Issues

Students gain critical awareness of the role of art in reflecting their culture and using creativity through art. In local and global contexts, students respect the contributions of individuals to art and regard art as a product of human experience and expression. In this context, students examine the relations between art, society and environment.

Perception, Reflection and Response / Perception, Reflect and Interpret

Students use the critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to reflect and implement impressive work of themselves and others. In creation and interpretation of original and impressive work, and they know the role of technology.
