The first kindergarten facilities in our network of schools were opened in Istanbul, in the Levent and Çamlıca neighbourhoods, and we have recently opened a kindergarten and primary school at Ulus. (As of September 2017, primary and secondary schools are opening in Moda and a kindergarten is opening on world-reknown Bagdat Street.)
The curriculum at our international pre-primary schools is known worldwide and is based on years of research from various countries. The development of an education system is continuous and we are continuously influenced by ongoing research and development activities in the field of education, and play-based learning.
Children at all of our international pre-primary schools begin the day as if they are at their “second homes.” We offer our students an environment where they feel physically, emotionally and mentally comfortable, safe and secure. Our schools exude the warmness of home, one filled with many friends and guided by caring teachers.
In all of our international pre-primary schools, our focus is to bring the educational success of Canada to Turkey. Canada’s system reflects the results of making investments in teachers and putting the child first. This system combines physical, emotional, and social well-being with academic growth; and recognizes that growth takes place both inside and outside the boundaries of school. Play is the foundation of teaching methodology. Play is the lab of the child; a place where he or she conducts experiments, tests hypotheses, and solidifies knowledge – all while developing lifelong social relationships.
Our international pre-primary schools also recognize that nutrition plays a vital role in both the physical and mental development of a child. We believe that a sound mind and a sound body are fundamental to future development. We ask for detailed health information about your child so that we can best look after him/her. If a child falls ill during the day, parents will be contacted immediately.
The faculty at our international pre-primary schools is receptive and engaged with development and innovations in the field of education, and is constantly applying pedagogical theory to practice. Our teachers value learning by engaging children and cultivating their curiosity. They know that each child has unique needs as an individual, and they develop methods to satisfy those needs that are based on well-researched and recognized teaching approaches.
